Writing under the pen names of Annie Buntin and Betts Arney, author and playwright Gail Buntin Blohowiak is currently working on a middle grade series, Growing up Alex. This series features a lively and determined protagonist, suffering through pre-adolescent quandaries. Book one in the series is Elusive Common Sense.
Buntin-Blohowiak’s readers can always expect to find laugh-out-loud humor mixed with real life themes, including navigating family dynamics, friendships, self-discovers, loss and grief, moral dilemmas and overcoming adversity. These same themes resonate in her adult works and plays.
Professionally, Buntin-Blohowiak taught grades 7th-9th through college master classes before making the jump to the business world. There she served on various boards of directors, including a stint as the Downtown Green Bay Rotary president. Her consulting and coaching clients included major corporations and small family owned businesses.
She earned a B.A. in Creative Communications and a Masters in Environmental Arts and Sciences (M.E.A.S.) from the University of Wisconsin. She also graduated from Coaches Training Institute and is a qualified and certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ™ practitioner.
Buntin-Blohowiak hails from Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she resides with her family. She is a proud Packers fan and is known for her impressive Halloween costumes and decorations.
